I‘m a Lucky Mom
When I had my three children, it was not yet "cool" to be a mother and have a career. One of the reasons to become an entrepreneur was the desire to have children and still run a company.
This allowed me to (somehow) reconcile both roles. I hid my pregnancies from my clients as best I could. When we as a consulting firm competed in pitches against the Big Five, I kept quiet about having children. We usually won those pitches at 3k. However, keeping quiet about my children has always weighed on me.
I'm glad we've arrived in different times today. A society in which women and men can combine children and job is desirable for me.
My greatest joy are my children ! Pregnancy, having children has made me more creative, stable and capable. We should all have the freedom to choose.
