Secret of a really good team building!
Whether it's a DAX executive team or a start-up founder, there is a secret to successful team building: the "emotional pact" with each other must be positively renewed by all members of the team. Sounds like "fuss". But it is really hard.
Basically, at 3k we only work with strengths. Weaknesses can hardly be worked on, so we focus on strengths. Everyone in the room means that all members of the team are "set" and needed. This is usually the most critical point. In most top teams, one person's "emotion is not equal" and there is this "invisible heaviness". The one who is devalued (and is subliminally afraid of being dismissed) feels this and this blocks the common trust: then there is no "emotional pact" with each other, no matter what we work on. We resolve this with our clients in teambuilding. First of all, everyone gets a chance to develop! Last hurdle: all needs are clearly expressed. Many performance teams experience big (positive) surprises because they have never talked about their personal needs. By the way, to make a good "emotional deal" you have to "dislike each other".
